Re: Lord of the Flies compared to Lost

:D

Re: Lord of the Flies compared to Lost

lol We use the two in class too when teaching this text.

But the problem is that Lost hasn't ended yet. In the middle of LotF they establish rules and laws too. Eventually it all falls apart. The possibility is still there in Lost.

Re: Lord of the Flies compared to Lost

lord of the flies is an overrated piece of mediocrity.

Re: Lord of the Flies compared to Lost

yeah were suppose to base it off the PILOT. what do you think happens to the kids when they return? like predictions for the future.. maybe they'll be traumatized

Re: Lord of the Flies compared to Lost

It's not great, given all the heavy-handed symbolism. But man, when taught right, it really engages 9th graders in reading and writing. So it must be worthwhile in some way...

Re: Lord of the Flies compared to Lost

were doing it in a 4U course lol... i thought it was boring too. maybe i wouldve liked it if i read it outside of school
