Hello Everyone!!

I want to ask you ladies if anyone of you have ever taken Loprin75 during pregnancy Actually my friend who has a history of 2 miscarriages in the past (most recent one was 6 months ago). She is about 5 weeks pregnant now and the doctor has prescribed her Loprin 75, progesterone and folic acid. Now Loprin is blood thining medicine There is no history of blood clotting and no blood tests are done to see if she needs this medicine. The doctor just randomly gave her this pill (the doctor is from Hamid Latif hospital Lahore).

Both the times my friend miscarried the baby in her week 6-7. Both the times spotting started and the fetus was expelled out of the body on its own. They didnt need to do DnC. During her second pregnancy she did take progesterone though! I was just worried for her so I thought may be you guys can share your experience. I know she should have asked this question to the doctor but you know how our Pakistani doctors are.

consult a doctor. we dont know the medical history at all !

I know someone she had 2 miscarriages in early stage of pregnancy. She then had her blood tests and doc found out that she has a sticky blood syndrome. She has a healthy baby now. She was on medicine throughout her pregnancy. I remember she told me she had to inject herself a blood thinning medicine everyday (sorry, don’t remember the name of the injection) along with aispirin and progestrone pessary. It was a successful treatment and she had normal delivery. I would suggest your friend to get her blood check before taking the medicines.
