loot bags!

^ great.... Thankyou

Re: loot bags!

nabz, njgal: there isn't a birthday theme as such- its based on the design i did for his birthday cards and on specific colours- light blue, navy blue, kelly green, and white. also, patterns- polka dots and diagonal stripes.

i went to the dollarama at spadina and adelaide downtown and they had a very good selection of things. i got water guns, sidewalk chalk, skipping ropes, crayons, coloring books, play dough, and bubbles. for the older girls, i got canvases with acrylic paints and a set of brushes. the older boys are getting bigger water guns and those plastic planes that you use a rubberband to shoot out and they fly for long distances. i wanted to get something outdoorsy for all the bachhas and although i loved the idea of the bucket and shovel/spade/other sand toys, the buckets were too small to carry all of the things inside it. the best part was that just behind the checkout they had these amazing medium sized tote bags made of burlap and lined in ivory khaki fabric. they were only $2 each so i picked up a whole bunch of those to put the favors in. i'll tie them up with navy and white ribbon and then tag each with the child's name. i think they're my favourite part of the loot bags! :)

reidi, a pinata! what a fab idea! i'm going to get one of those for sure!

Re: loot bags!

Re: loot bags!

OHHH I love doing goody bags for parties! Although our kids are a bit bigger (from 5 to 10 years old), plus we always do a grown up goody bag for the parents or sisters!

Next eid party bag ideas are probly gonna come from here :D

Re: loot bags!

Pinatas are awesome! I'm usually the one pushing the kids away for some candy. LOL.

Then I would bribe them for kisses and give the candy back.

Yes, I'm one of those auntis. lol.

Re: loot bags!

Party City has pinatas, and I swear, I might have seen some at Dollarama. Maybe. Not too sure. I could be wrong. I love Party City (aka Party Packagers).

Picture frames are always nice. Maybe take a pic of each family with the birthday child, print it out and have it framed and give it to them as a thank you gift.
