Re: looking MUCH older than your actual age
^me too I have an oval face but round cheeks it helps makes me look younger!...
I think if you get a trendy haircut, and wear stylish clothes it will make a difference.

Re: looking MUCH older than your actual age
I guess u can get a nice framing face layers, cuz that really helps to frame and kinda elongate your face. And also if your chubby, I guess u can try losing some weight. because I know a lot of ppl who lose weight, and all of a sudden they start looking very young.
I think you can wear atleast some makeup. Trust me make up is the biggest thing that will impact your whole look.
wear, Foundation, winged liner, and a medium lip colour, and mascara.
Or atleast just foundation and mascara.
Make up can make a big difference, for younger looking people it can make them look older hence why young teens usually try to wear natural looking makeup and once you start to look a bit older, that same makeup can make you look younger.
And I don’t think there’s a difference between 26, 28, 29, 30 seriously you don’t really change much. I find the biggest difference in people from 30s to when hey hit 40s but from 20s to 30s pretty much you will look the same. I know ppl who have looked like 30 when they were 20 and still look the same. Sometimes its just that you make look older now but maybe you will look like that for a very long time. For example I dont have that sorta young baby like face and I’m happy I dont have a baby face anyway, but my face will look the same for a very long time. I actually look older too, but thats cuz i do kinda wanna look older than my age anyways.
I’m 18 but ppl usually say around 20,22. But I like to hear that I do look older.
But its cuz I always wear full face makeup, even when im at home. It’s just a habbit, cuz I love make up.
and just always use sunscreen to prevent wrinkles, which us desi’s are very lucky to not have very many until we really do get old. =)
But it’s better to use preventives then cures.
and don’t care about what ppl say. If you think you look good for your age then it doesn’t matter what others think.
Its the same with how one person may think he/she is fat when another person thinks he/she is skinny.
everone has a different perspective of looking at things differently.

Re: looking MUCH older than your actual age
Weight has a bit to do with it.
Someone once told me I looked 6 years younger than I am. That was nice. I don't know if I believe them but it was nice to hear...lol.
Your look should be age appropriate. Dress young, workout, keep your style updated and wear sunscreen! Makeup or no makeup, a neat and put together appearance always makes one look younger.
Re: looking MUCH older than your actual age
Hmm OK thank you for all the replies and tips people.
Weightwise, I'm just average. I am 5' 5'' tall and weigh 130 lbs. I used to be 120lbs before baby but just haven't returned to pre-baby weight even 2 years later!
Dressing: I guess I do like to dress "older" in the sense that I wouldn't be caught dead wearing uggs, or I tend to go moreso for formal work clothing from express or the limited than trendy, layers of shirts and sweaters etc from hollister.
Someone mentioned that minerals makeup is good for pores? I have bareminerals, which I wear on special occasions when I want to go for the full-makeup look. It still accentuates my pores though because its a powder and I have dry skin, eventhough I moisturize before applying the bare minerals powders.
Re: looking MUCH older than your actual age
You don't mind b/c people think you're YOUNGER than your actual age. If someone told you that you look 30.....I highly doubt that would make you feel happy. :)
i would not mind Allah ne jesa bnayaacha khubsurat bnaya
Re: looking MUCH older than your actual age
I don't think if you look 2-4 years older or younger, its that's big of a deal though. I have the opposite problem - I look younger than my age or so have been told. It was quite frustrating for me but have come to terms with it, plus I put some efforts into looking older now and I guess its working for me - wearing high heels, some makeup, wearing my hair down etc.
Re: looking MUCH older than your actual age
Then this morning, I am buying my coffee and there's a new dude working at the coffee shop who happens to be desi. So ofcourse the usual interview ensued asking me how long i've been here etc etc. He then asks me "so how old is your oldest kid?". I reply "he just turned 2" and the guy looked totally surprised. He was like "oh so you are really young". ummm YEAH!
That is such a specific question to ask a stranger....weird.
