Does anyone know a Firdaus Jamal drama from the Ptv days where he plays an official and blackmails people with stuff he keeps on his computer.. I think it’s from the early 90’s.

I think Arifa Siddiqui was quite a good actress. Uzma Gilani always mentions her performanace in Bano Qudsia's 'Maut se Pehle' with words 'The way Arifa played that role, no one can perform from hollywood / bollywood'.
ye role hi matha tha, but it developed at end and she gave quite good responsive performance against Firdous Jamal at end.
It's just her annoying baby voice that she is putting on that is annoying... Firdaus Jamal here is awesome.. As always.

Probably the character was developed like that. I think Firdos called her ‘baby’ till end

Arifa Siddiqui does not have baby voice. She's one of the greatest drama actresses of all times. I still remember one her long play that was written by Munu Bhai. In that play, she played the role of a bind girl. If anyone has its link, please post it.

No. unfortunately not. Though, its been repeat telecasted many times and as far as I remember it was remade as well in series 'Ik Muhabbat Sau Afsane' in late 1990s.

I also heard about that play. probably it was ‘Khubsurat’. These plays might be in PTV’s archives and they were te;lecasting long plays on every Saturday afternoon before Ramadan. May be, if requested, they can re telecast these plays.

You’re right about the other play, it was indeed ‘Khubsurat’. Absolutely amazing story and performances. I also like Arifa’s acting in PTV classic drama “Pyaas” written by Asghar Nadeem Syed. Thats available on youtube. I wish PTV would open all its achieves to public or at least release these classic programs online.

Arifa's performance was effortless. That's what great acting is all about, it has effortless and natural feel to it. Though we have couple of fine young actors but nobody can match up to her.

so you hadn’t watched it earlier. All the plays in Qasmi Kahani series were classic.
Watch all, especially ‘PahaRon ki Barf’, ‘Sannata’ and ‘Alhamd o Lillah’. Amazing stories, brilliant performances.

I’ve watched a few episodes of Qasmi kahani series. I don’t remember the names of all the plays but one was sat bhirai.
