As per Hadith the Ismul Adham is in these two ayahs

Surah Aal Imran: Aayah 1 and Aayah 163.

Its is said that in fact the greatest Ismul adham is in fact “ALLAH”

What is the concept behind Ism ul Azam. I remember reading stories (probably Daastan Ameer Hamza & Umro Ayyar) that the person knowing Ism e Azam gets extra powers.

I dont know about extra powers (what powers have you got already?) but it does contain the Sir, the secret.

Hadith Paraphrased ... That the Day will not arrive until the last man who says Allah Allah is still alive. He will be asked what he is saying and he will not know. He will reply that his father used to say it and so he says it.
