Diaper genie is good but you really need to air it out and disinfect it every now and then.
I am assuming that you live in an apartment and dont have an outside trash bin, otherwise the best thing is to put the dirty diaper in a shopping bag, wrap it and tie the top and dispose it in the regular outside bin
