Hi everybody…

i am from toronto, married with kid… i am looking to make friends here… (normally you see post about looking for rishtas etc but i am looking for friends) … i have been to toronto for over 10 years and still cudnt make friends… ( too busy with studies than work then husband and then kid)… so now my whole family has moved to pakistan and i am stuck here… i feel very lonely as i dont have friends…

anybody from toronto and area wud like to frandsheep me?? :smiley:

umm first of all i am not bored... i am actualy very busy in my life but i dont have friends... secondly... if i knew of any such bar... i wud've joined long time ago.. plus i m only looking for pakistani female friends.

do you work? maybe talk to more people at work, also when you take your kid to nursery or school talk to the moms?

My family live in missiauga and have a HUGE group of asian friends get out there girl :) good luck!

Goto nearby masjid, and you can surely make dozens of friends!

where abouts in Toronto do you live? West of Toronto, like Mississauga/Brampton or east of Toronto, like Markham/Pickering? Let me know.....maybe we can plan something for Eid or after that! Dont despair, I know its hard to make friends. Im getting married next year and moving to the states, and Im really worried about not knowing anyone but my fiance there! His family lives in Toronto as well, only he lives in the states to work, so we are going to be all alone!

Get in Desi Gathering. Be active on GS you might find lots of friends .. .. .. but don't stuck to Life 1 .. you will get depressed .. :p

where in the GTA do u live? Like saimab33 said, mayb we can all chill after eid or meet up at the next Toronto Guppy Meet.

thanks everybody for your replies.

i pray at home so going to masjid with my 18 month old is not an option at the present time.. plus mostly only somaliam ladies come there or old aunties etc...

my daughter goes to daycare and majority is white people there... and my coworkers are all non pakistani / white... i do talk to them alot... but obviously they dont know about our culture or values...

if i was living in pakistan i wudn't be posting here to meet friends... bcuz the friend circle is huge there....

where is this "bored pakistani houswife bar" that Monk and Nutwur is talking about??

i live in etobicoke... (please dont say there are tons of desis there) i dont roam around the streets looking for friends... and i dont go to bars so looking for pakistani friends with good values is TOUGH!!

There are a lot of friendly CanPakis on this website. Befriend Muzna baji she is really nice and is in Toronto, I believe. Start posting more and interacting with the CanPakis on here. Also go to the GS guppie meet in Toronto at Muzna B's house. I am sure you will make friends.

^ OMG that sounds like so much fun! I wish I was in Toronto! :)

Aman, do try to get involved in social activities, volunteer efforts, charities, even volunteering in your school district might help, etc. There are lots of ways to meet people...you just have to be brave and put yourself out there a little bit.

ummm isnt it weird that how everybody in this post told me "how" to make friends... yet nobody (except one or 2 people) said that we wud like to be friends with u :-)
