This baby costs 169000 dhs - approx $46175 (30727 pounds). Now this is something which will be a centre of attraction in every meeting. Our organization sold a couple of pieces like these 2 Benazir, Nawaz Sharif's younger bro, Wasim Akram's younger bro & a sikh from UK, who payed with a credit card.......!!!!!!! Shows how much money some overseas asians have.

Dude U can alwayz buy a beautiful swatch or a Raymond Weil. It depends on ur choice, since ur budget is reasonable. U can alwayz find a good watch. U have 2 choices - either be cool or be elegant. Swiss watches like Rolex, Omega, Patek Phillipe, Tag Heur, Breitling r 4 life, but they come with a heavy price tag.

There is a Breitling model which comez with highly sophisticated navigational instruments built in2 da watch. This is 4 da aficionado - pilots.

In da end all I'd say is go out 2 a local watch store, & choose ur style, color & taste according 2 ur budget.

I've got about 5 watches at the moment, but looking for a new one, one a bit special. A nice 'slim' fit model preferably silver with a dark face. Any suggestions?

HKP: What you are looking for..immediately brings to mind watches from Movado and Tissot.

I currently own a Tissot (black leather strap with a white face) and a Movado (black leather strap and a black face, silver circumference). They are good :~)

Paapay, I just shared info with u. Who knows 1 day u might be da proud owner of 1 too.

I have a swatch since 1997. Dad got it from france & I cherish it. I've also got a Yema, Seiko, Omega, all from dad, & a swatch which I personally bought.

My personal favorite is Rolex Daytona in steel. Its got a waiting list of 6months 2 almost a year, & it does not cost u a fortune.

Congrats on buying a fine marine Seiko Kinetic.. watch looks great as its simple compared to other kinetics I have seen.. the most important thing is that one likes it.. u like to wear rather - its good buy.

I would rather go for Longines, Tissot, Oris, Hamilton etc. if I want to spend that much money. I usually like vintage watches - like this one I got for same price u spent recently. Its original 1960's with all original and in great shape..

Cooldude, excellent choice. I bought the one in the pic with the gold lining as a wedding gift for somebody, but the dial was white.

I wear an Omega Constellation (bought 5 years ago) to work and a Christian Dior gold plated (Gift from Sultan Qaboos of Oman) on dressy occasions. For sports, casio works well.

Degas, I have a wrist watch from my great grand father that he bought during WWI. It has a leather strap and does not work. I will try and find the brand name and then may be you can value it for me.

Hey what about the related costs e.i. security guards?? :smiley: hmm personally I don’t see anything special in this watch except that it is made out of gold(yellow:nook: ) and has diamonds all over…No wonder only desis have owned these!! I don’t know why desis love yellow gold so much :confused: Anyways, I don’t think it’s worth buying coz wearing a watch like this is same as dressing like a paki bride - always overdone ! :stuck_out_tongue:

you are right, but I think watch is more than just for time for Men! most of the men dont wear anyother ornament kind of things etc. So thats only chance for them to select and buy something, its just not for time, I agree with you, cell phone and other gadgets, computers at work, clocks at home, clocks in the car, train stations! all these do actually undermine need for wristwatch!

Many of us buy watch not just for time! ;)
