Finally told my parents I am ready but before that I wanted to see if the woman of my desires is actually available on this worldly plane. Or am I seeking a nymph from the fabled gardens of Babylon. So gentlemen I shall list the characteristics and lets see if you agree that there is such a desi woman on this planet or am I really aiming too high?

A. I don’t care what her age is. If she is older, who cares.

Intelligent. I want a smart girl. Not just your average smart. One who enjoys discourse which is both abstract and current. Be it discussing the latest political developments or to art and hanging out a museums. Masters degree minimum.

Out-going and adventerous. I am not really into museums, or heading to the park for a lazy afternoon. I want someone who takes into account the more effiminate aspects of life. Someone who says lets go out for dinner to this place because I heard it is good. Me? I would say, this place we have been to a few times. It has great food lets go there.

Lived abroad. I am not looking for a home grown desi girl. I am not looking for an ABCD. A nice balance of both. I am looking for someone who has seen both sides of Pakistani society and accepts it as part of her heritage and what should be instilled in our kids. All 40 of them

I don’t mind a hijabi, I don’t mind someone who wears jeans. These issues are irrelevant. I am looking for more the mind and the soul. As the mother of my children and the woman that play the most important role in their upbrining, I want my kids to grow up to be proud muslims and proud of their heritage. -
Sense of humor. An absolute must. I am one who likes to mock and troll when I am in the mood. I also enjoy a playful female counterpart. One who can take a joke, laugh at my silliness and then whack me on the back of the head when I go to far, and there are a lot of those cases
