Asak everyone, i need ur advice.
I am designing a long shirt and lehenga for my bro’s wedding…i wanted to ask which materials i should purchase?i live in India,so i don’t really have an idea ki Pak mein kaunsa material use ho raha hai aajkal.
i dont want brocade for the shirt..so which other materials can i use?
and i was thinking of maybe crepe for both the lehenga,as well as the dupatta, but don’t know how that will look..
So,i need ur suggestions for the shirt, lehenga,as well as dupatta..and other suggestions, advice, colour combinations and pix are welcome :)) thanks in advance!
Re: Long shirt and lehenga - which material to be used?
pure silk jamavar or silk chiffon are usually good bets. you can also use really good quality net material for the dupatta and the shirt and pair it with the silk jamavar lehenga. check the weddings thread too- there's lots of pictures in there and you can get a better idea of how different materials look in a lehenga.

chiffon jamavaar/plain chiffon/kundan zarri for shirt....cotton net/chiffon for duppatta cotton net holds kaam v wel...brocade/kataan/jamavaar/kattan jamavar or even chiffon if ur nt gettin too much work on it n many designer r makin chiffon flowy lehgas these days as wel...
