but i’ve seen kurtas BELOW THE KNEE…and they just didn’t look attractive to me at all.

its also the material that makes a difference. I love the georgette/chiffon material of kurtis. The lawn/cotton material looks like...eh...alright. I like the flowy material, as opposed to the stiff maya walay kaprey.
i wear them all the time. my kurtas rn't too long not too short, just 2" below the hips n abov the knees.n i don't see myself looking stupid in pix. this yr i'm wearing them more with skinny jeans rather than regular jeans.but may b that's me. for me its the best option when u want full coverage. western long shirts all look same in style with a belt at waste. if u don't use belt u look bad. i instead don't like girls wearing short tops wth pants.
agree! kurtas that are too long might not look good but the length like the one sweet.i.f. posted is fine, liked that one alot btw..
oh nd im soo happy that long pretty blouses or shirts are available nowadays, before we had to make them in pakistan just for school!
I am getting kurtis made this summer with jeans from pak... just long enough to cover the bum...with little embroidery/laces or something...I think its a super comfy attire...

I don't like below the knee either. But a kurta/flowy that comes to about (thigh length).....a bit fitted.....with light embroidery.....can look very nice.
SOME....kurta/tunic tops that come to knee length (no more than that)......and depending upon the cut/style can look nice as well.
Other factors to consider are color, style, body type....(certain lengths may not be figure flattering).

It's all in your mind. I wear kurtey with jeans all the time with khussey and everyone ALWAYS say I look pretty. My long kurtey are usually till the knees. Anything beyond the knees is too long. However until knees is fine and actually looks nice. It is a very comfortable attire to adorn when going out. I don't see what the fuss is all about. Jeez girls these days.

I think it looks fine. To each his own, right? Also, if you look at the pictures Daaman has been posting on fb, quite a few of their shirts are paired with jeans, and it looks fine. Granted they're on mannequins, but even so. And all the shirts are below the knees....
