Long-hair

Re: Long-hair

Just shave all your hair off and invest in many wigs. Think of all the different cuts, colours...:D

Re: Long-hair

Yep, if you have long hair, it's best kept to the ends so it's not so heavy but doesn't change it overall. My sister just had the last two inches thinned out.

Re: Long-hair

Unless ur hair is always straight. long hair (without been thinned or layered) doesn’t look good IMO. I have thick hair (mA :hehe:) but a few years ago b4 I got it layered It was just to much to handle and it would just fall flat and I couldn’t really do much with it unless I always straightened it. layering it out just gives it so much more character and u can do so much more with it

Re: Long-hair

^I agree. My hair has a slight natural wave and isn't thick any more (sniff). It would look horrible all one length. My sister however has thick, heavy, straight hair - obvious layer through the whole length make it look crazy. Graduation at the front is a different matter though.

Re: Long-hair

the longest layer in my hair is like an inch from my waist Gina. So its suppppeeer long. Most days I actually pin up half of it so that it is kinda poofy on the top. I use a small clip to first achieve the perfect pouf and then bobby pin it as well from the sides so that it doesnt fall out from the weight. I then just pony tail the rest or make a messy bun. It looks like I put a lot of effort into my hair… but actually not so much at all.

Otherwise I just scrunch it and leave it down.

I have long layers as well, last layer falls at my hips and first one's the length of my chin. With layers, you'll never achieve a neat-looking braid :(

I'm going to attempt u're look PunjabiRose!

Re: Long-hair

^ Mashallah your hair sounds so beautiful Gina.... so long and also thick! Let me know how the style worked out for you. I find that using bobby pins along with the clip is super essential :) Use any many as you need to in order for it to feel secure.

Re: Long-hair

what do u apply on ur hairs to keep them long and healthy??????

Re: Long-hair

LOL, what's up with desis putting an "s" at the end of words that serve as a collective noun? Like "hairs" and "maths."

Re: Long-hair

In UK English maths is the shortened version of mathematics.. not "math" :p

Re: Long-hair

Hmm…interesting :hmmm:

Nows hows dos yous explains thes words, hairs? :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Long-hair

I've given the recipe of the oil i've been using for a long time. It's floating around here somewhere :)

Rose, I'm doing everything these days..loose plait, messy bun, leaving it half-up.. bobby pins begin to hurt after a while.

Re: Long-hair

^I envy you, Gins, that you have thick, long hair MashaAllah. I'm growing mine out...but it's fine/thin in texture. Hmm....if you mainly put it in one kind of braid, you can try experimenting with other braided styles; french braid, side-braid, etc.

Head/hair bands? If hair bands, bobby pins, and jaw clips are not working.....how about tying your hair with a pretty scarf. It may not cause the pressure/headaches that come with the other accessories.

There was a video I saw a few weeks ago of a faux bob hair style.......where you take long hair and fold it up to make it look like a short bob.

Re: Long-hair

I have fine hair but I have a lot of it...it's now past my bra strap and whenever i'm at home I just have it plaited in order to reduce the potential for split ends/breakage. When I go out, it's usually in a messy bun as I have some natural waves or if i'm attending an event it's GHD'd.

Re: Long-hair

RV, you have NO idea how hard that faux bob is to do! :hayaa:

Re: Long-hair

hi gina,i need to kno your Magic potion (oil) pulezz copy paste :@: here

Re: Long-hair

I use those spin pins to make my bun and it stays whole day!!! try them, you'll never try anything as good as them to make a bun.

Other option is sponge bun.

Re: Long-hair

I just tie mine in a lose ponytail at my nape.
