I’m going to be visiting Pakistan to prep for my upcoming Shaadi.
For my extra outfits on the side I’ve been wanting to get elegant gown type dresses bc they are just so elegant and classy. However, I’ve been told as of late they are going out of style?
What to do?
I don’t want to make a surplus of outfits, only for them to go to waste a few months later.

yup they are going out of style, but women are holding on with their life to that style :) in khi fashions change fast ,in lahore a little slower but in isb we r wayy laid back and so will get the maximum out of it I guess.Though floor length is not visible anywhere anymore,but long is still in with maybe more A-line shirts rather than lots of flair.
But by fall/winter they will definitely be less in vogue , I think designers are tiered of it now.You could always get the kaam done and get stitching done closer to ur wedding..

I guess both kinds of lengths are in. The karma lawn by Maheen Kardar has each of her design with both long and short length.
For casual wear, short shirts (a la tunics) are in. Which are A line and are worn over lycra tights. For longer hemlines, loose azaars are in and the silhouette is slightly fitted.
The thing ACTUALLY out, IMHO, are the balloon like shirts with exaggerated panel detailing.

it depends on ur height weight n physique that which type of kameez shalwar suits u
dont follow the fashion they just give u the ideas
so wear what suits u

I think long kameezes are more likely to stay in fashion rather than long gowns/maxi dresses - kameezes are a lot more wearable and versatile

I'm hearing the A line long kameez is going out of fashion too? And it's straight long kameez now? Is that true? Is it with pants and churidar or are shalwars in now?

Yes I've heard that straight cut long shirts are more in as compared to A-lines & flowy type dresses.. But I think they'd still look good on parties & weddings...

Summerbr....no pants....shalwars n churidaars r in...n also those stretchable tights....i saw this amazing cotton suit by karma it was white straight plain long shirt with white churidaar having black print on it....it looked so decent n cute....

Long kameezes will stay in fashion for a long time I reckon.
