All I can suggest is to bring a pillow and small blanket that you can throw on the cabin floor by your feet – sounds rather nasty but it works.
I’ve never tried this but I have seen several moms put their sleeping babies down there surrounded by cushy diaper bags etc. once the plane reaches cruising altitude. Keep in mind that you will have to be quick about lifting them back into your lap should the “fasten seat belt” sign come on during the flight. Inconvenient yes, but might be your best option if all else fails.

My mom has done this..!!..I remember it as one of the most fun flights ever….
She actually did that with my younger sister who was under 2 at that time.It does not sound good,but it should work.

P.S…Traveling with a toddler,keeping them in my lap and being alone are the things that dont even make me miss my parents and want me to go visit them anymore…
