I think in the end lot of people voted Tory because they are quite fed up with the Labour government at the moment. I guess after 10 years of a Labour government and 8 years of Ken being mayor, people want a change.

I liked Ken, he was always sticking up for muslims and speaking out against Israeli aggression|oppression. One of the only few along side George 'the people's voice' Galloway.

Agreed.
Ken Livingstone made a great mayor because he understood multiculturalism, which is a great quality to have when representing a city as diverse as London.
Unfortunatly Londoners now have to put up with Boris who is the total opposite.

Immigration aside, I like boris's positions compared to Ken. the congestion tax is an abomination.

there is a real problem with the immigration into the uk, there are economic pluses aswell but the cultural side of british life has taken a battering. its not just an evil racist person that dreams of somesort of normality in their lives. under normality they'd drink tea and know what to expect from other white british people, there is a personal connection between them - an understanding. currently they wake up and see all sorts of namunay walking around, 'no go' areas and face massive housing costs as they try to follow their community into the outer areas of cities. every individual is expected to be politically correct yet the government itself uses racism to gain support for illegal wars.
so i do sympathise with the british public and can see the attraction of the bnp. also the bnp is a little more extreme then their party adverts make out, which leaves many people supporting them without really knowing what they are supporting.
