Londonistan

Re: Londonistan

Already had it, the High Court ruled it was illegal, had it tuned down a lot.

Holding people without trial is out, tagging them or putting them under house arrest is in.

Most of this is just hyperbole by US papers, however, Given that they are run by sensationalist Americans, I wouldn’t put much stock in their stories.

I’m really proud of the BBC’s coverage of the attack. Even in the face of an attack on their own country, the BBC’s editors continued to maintain the policy of not using the t-word and BBC journalists continue to say that the attacks were done by “bombers” and not “terrorists”.

The BBC’s policy is that “careless use of words which carry emotional or value judgements” should be avoided and that “the word ‘terrorist’ itself can be a barrier rather than an aid to understanding” and should be “avoided”.
