^ I speak nicely to people... No really I think it's because the lady I spoke to was really nice and helpful. I told her that I was quite upset that they were quoting me that price bcos TBH I didn't expect the venue to cost that much and I have found 2 or 3 other venues for less than 3K in surrounding areas that would mean a bit of travel for our guests, but really I would prefer the Hilton bcos the location is closer and I can trust that everything will be in order.
She spoke about corkage and VAT and other stuff, but I told her I need an all inclusive package and bcos its not my budget and I am not in a position to get them to increase it etc, but it would be SOOOOO nice if they could have the wedding here etc. So she asked her manager and another manager while I said I appreciate her efforts etc. In the end she confirmed the quote for just over 3K with corkage (for soft drinks), tables, chairs, linen, stage, dancefloor AND a bedroom for the bride n groom thrown in.
How good is that???

I'm quite sick of this wedding organisation business, don't know how you girls do it. There's so much to do, so much to think of, so many people to ring up, its mind boggling. At least I helped in one way, now I wanna take a back seat.
