London Visa

Hello Is there someone who might be able to help me in relation to a london visa:

Two Questions:

I have just gotten my working visa for Uk and I intend to travel to the UK early March. The problem is that I am travelling with my elderly mother who is going to visit her brother in london. I am aware that she does not need a visa. My concern is that due to the fact that we are both travelling together and on different visas. This may be a bit suspicious as I am her only child. Can someone shed light on this situation. We are both citizens of Australia.

Second Question: My mother is also a heart patient. Can anyone kindly shed any light on the fact of what if any access to medical facilities she may have whilst visiting the UK.

Thanks in advance.

Re: London Visa

  1. If your mother did not need a visa why has she got one?
  2. If you got your working visa and your mother decided to take this chance to visit the UK I cant see why this should be suspicious, unless there are other underlying issues. 3.Access to medical facilities I am not sure what you mean by this exactly all I know is if you are a visitor you will have to pay and it is not cheap best get some travel insurance

if you both have seperate visa's there will be no cause for concern. I am assuming that your mother is on a tourist visa if she is visiting her brother.

Please be aware, that any medical treatment/assessment will cost you a lot of money in the UK, its free for UK nationals only, however as a visitor you will be charged for everything.

and also please be advised that some medicine that you may be able to buy over the counter in other country's, in the Uk you HAVE to have a doctors signed prescription to buy the medicine from any chemist.

Re: London Visa

In UK contrary to everyone's believe. Emergency treatment to anyone in the country regardless of status is free. having said that only include ambulance service, and your treatment and stay at emergency ward at any hospital. But if you have to get treatment longer, you will be charged as visitor. but as aussi national you may have reciprocal treatment arrangement that may exist between UK and Aussi government. GP will not register you as visitor, but will see you and prescribe if require for nominal fee of £10 per visit. but travel insurance is better option.

for the main reason, traveling with your mother, etc, I dont think it will be a problem.
