London: Shopping for bedding

I went to Bareeze (Home Expressions), Lahore and found these really pretty bed sheets, quilt covers sets, table runners, etc. Some had sequins, pretty embroidery, block printing, prints.. and were so pretty!

Some one told me not to buy any of these things from Pakistan since i can get them in London. I am now unsure if any of such eastern-touch bedding is available there… embroideries & sequins type?

No you won't find the heavy sequin bedding in london. But don't take that many of the fancy types, because it can become a hassle after. And normal bedding from london will be fine. There are some really nice ones like with ribbons and different patterns but you have to go to the right places. I had once gone to pakistan and really liked this fancy bed set thing and got it, but you can't really sleep in those types of bed sets and it was really a waste of money. But I think the other types might be ok to take with you.

^I agree, last time I went to pakistan, I bought a very fancy bed sheet set, it looks beautiful, but I havent even used it once because you cant sleep on it :(

You can get the sequinned and embroidered bedsets in the UK, they’re not quite the same and they come at a price! Buying in Pakistan would be cheaper. However as others have said they’re uncomfortable to sleep on.

hey pakistan has much nicer bedding than uk...and cheaper too, i regret not buying those when went last year.

For regular bedding TKMaxx often as hugely discounted brands. High thread count, egyptian cotton sheets for very reasonable prices etc. And you can easily find stuff with just the right amount of embroidery or trimming that doesn't interfere with comfort or washing.

I agree with most people for Sequins bedding that it is uncomfortable to sleep in. Sequins I like for Table Runners that go under the transparent sheet or some thing. They look very pretty! As for embroideries & block prints, they look very pretty in bed sets. I surely want specially the embroidered thread ones.

Debenhams and House of Fraser have a nice range of good quality bedding. The Kylie Minogue Valencia bed linen range is so pretty, I've heard the quality is very good too.
