I will be in London beginning of January for a week. Have heard that January sales are good, where can i find good deals on clothes. I won’t have much time to go around shopping.
Gracias

Re: London Guppies Help
Oxford Street!
Re: London Guppies Help
What kind of clothes are you looking for? Next always has a HUGE sale (not sure if it's justifiable for the amount of craziness, but a lot of people seem to like it)
Re: London Guppies Help
Kids clothes mainly, or may be some toys, as gifts for my kids and nephews.
Re: London Guppies Help
Oxford Street (all the main dept stores such as Selfridges, Debenhams, John Lewis etc) or depending on which end of London you're staying the large malls like Westfield (w) or Lakeside and Bluewater (e/Essex)..
Re: London Guppies Help
I will be staying in Kensington.
Re: London Guppies Help
^Then everything mentioned bar Lakeside and Bluewater is within easy reach.. You could also check out Harrods and Harvey Nicks in Knightsbridge.. very close to that end..
Re: London Guppies Help
icon.. are you going from US/Can?
if yes. .then London is quite expensive compare to North America. same brands cost 40% less here. try bloomingdale. !
Re: London Guppies Help
I know firenze, its very expensive, i normally dont think about buying anything from London, haven't in my previous trips but since its the time of sales i thought i might find something.
Re: London Guppies Help
For kids clothes go to next, debenhams, zara
and for wife or sisters go to boots, superdrug and the perfume shop for perfumes
sales at next start at 3pm online on christmas eve, happy shopping :)
US brands (polo, cK etc) obviously cost less in US, Italian brands are hit or miss as to where you find better deals and selections. for UK brands, the deals are much better in UK, especially holiday time, paul smith, Ted Baker, Burberry, Thomas Pink, Jaeger, Reiss, Ben Sherman to name a few.
Re: London Guppies Help
yay kensington! :D
there's loads of places nearby for you to shop around. knightsbridge (harrods, overrated though hmphs) then you've got sloane street. but i doubt you want alex mcqueen dresses, oh shepherds bush isn't far (go westfield, good stuff) and nor is oxford street (from knightsbridge). by the time you go for sale shopping at next in january, all the crappy stuff is left so i won't advise that. but yeah, definitely try john lewis and debenhams, h&m, topshop, uniqlo, UCoB, new look. is the clothes shopping for you, your wife and kids? affordable and best bet is oxford street.
Re: London Guppies Help
Might just be me but I generally find post Xmas sales to be rubbish. Not much that you'd actually want to buy. Pre Xmas discounts (20%, 30%) off most of a store's items seem better.
Re: London Guppies Help
Have a look online for stuff too, sometimes it's cheaper than the shops!
Re: London Guppies Help
I just bought a pair of calf boots from Debenhams on 50% off...woohoo
