London, Glasgow & Oslo

A question to those who travel often … within these cities, region. What will be the best way to travel from the East Coast US to the above three cities in 3-4 weeks.

I checked with a travel agent and he had it setup where we would fly into London for a week, then take a flight to Glasgow and after a week fly back to London and then take a flight to Oslo. After 2-weeks there we then head back to London to come back to the east coast of US. The cost was around $1500 per head, which I think is a bit too much.

So, I was looking around on the net and wanted to see if someone else might have a suggestion how to go about doing this.

One option is to buy a one-way ticket to London, stay there for a while, then take a train up to Glasgow (which should be cheaper, right?) And then take some sort of a boat ride to Oslo? Possible? I mean, if I have to spend $1500 bucks going to Euro, why not have fun at least, rather than being screened at every airport over and over again. :slight_smile:

ahmedjee,

I used Travelocity to look up for open-jaw fares for you.

If you fly from east coast (lets say ATLANTA);

ATLANTA to LONDON Heathrow
and then
OSLO to ATLANTA

your total price including taxes is $596 per person. I used 3 weeks advance purchase option.

I think it would be best if you take the scenic train route from London to Glasgow and the fairy ride from Glasgoq to Oslo. This way, you would enjoy planes, trains, and boat rides. Also, it would come out cheaper.

Have a safe trip.

from london to glasgow train is much expensive compared to air

I would suggest, book only US to london and then oslo!

for london to glasgow and back buy online ticket from low fair airline (www.easyjet.com or www.ryanair.com) later offer 1 pound +tax return (25total )if you book in advance

you can save your london to glasgow leg.
