London from the Air

Some pics I took while landing in London on January 14, 2005. Some of them came out a bit blurry cause the windows on the plane were dirty.

I’m sure you can recognize the landmarks. :stuck_out_tongue: The weather was brilliant. Didn’t need a jacket thankfully … but it was comforting being back in London. I love it there.

The quality of the pics aren’t that great cause I had to resize them in order to post. :frowning:

Coming up … Mecca, Madina and a whole other places in the Middle East.

Re: London from the Air

Fayz, I want to put it up but I’m afraid my experiences and subsequent opinions will piss people off …

Don’t worry, I’m working on it. It’s taking me time cause I am trying to put in as much detail as possible.

Re: London from the Air

Awesome pictures. Post more pictures from your trip, pretty please!

Re: London from the Air

I like this one! It must have been exciting for you looking down at one of the worlds seven wonders ‘London’

I absolutely love london

Re: London from the Air

We flew right over Windsor Castle on the return flight. The pilot told us in advance that we would fly over it so we could have our cameras ready. I guess I got a bit distracted by the vanilla with chocolate covered ice cream they handed out cause I was busy stuffing my face and wasn't able to take a pic. The castle looked amazing from the sky though.

Re: London from the Air

Windsor castle is my favourite castle...the queen is always there when i visit!! i love Windsor itself, my son, if i ever have one, will inshallah study at Eton Boys School.:) i want to see more pictures!!:p

Re: London from the Air

I love the eastern approach into heathrow...coming from the US u dont usually catch all the scenery, unless u have to fly around in traffic.Good job mehnaz

Re: London from the Air

Don’t worry London is dirty on the ground also  totally dirty place !

Re: London from the Air

nice one mate, how did you conclude that, or you just have been only to southall and east london areas???

nice effort Mehnaz Q

Re: London from the Air

Here is the best one from my collection that I took on my recent flight into London... note it was a cloudy day, but you can clearly make out Tower Bridge in the middle of the pic. I took one of the new Wembley arch but you can't quite make it out with all the cloud cover.

Re: London from the Air

How about, Southall, East London, North, West,South London. Birmingham, Manchester, Yorkshire is that enough god damn dirty country all that money in the government banks cant they spend it on a clean up at least 3rd world countries have an excuse that they are poor what is Britains excuse!

Re: London from the Air

^ well, regardless of how dirty you think the streets of the UK are, London looks simply amazing from the air.

Re: London from the Air

^

true dat...London does look good from high above
thanks for the pics Mehnaz, brought back a lot of memories :-)

Re: London from the Air

sorry you cant include north , north west london in this list.

east london and southall and other you mentioned has only one problem and excuse
“too many desis or blacks” cleaning the streets is responsibility of the local council and in these areas people are too dirty and prefer to throw trash on the streets.
and the coucil budgets are stretched cause no one pays local taxes cause they are on state benefits, dont work dont pay taxes.

thats the only difference  its a shame but thats the reality. otherwise these council have same budget and same number of cleaners, its just people that live there in that much concentration.

also its fault of govt failed to deal with exceptional areas to deal differently.
