I am due to start postgrad study in sept, and need accomodation. I would prefer to live with atleast one other appna, for the sake of similarity. 
Is anyone else in the same positon, looking for a room to let in London from about August?

Anything (single room) within zone 1 or 2. Would like to be no more then 15 mins (inc train time) from WC2.
But my options are pretty open.

in this case ur Uni's accomodation would be ur best option. coz of rents of course and u will see many APPNAI there. For WC2 I would say look for some place in W3 or W4 (Zone 3). by the way isn't too early! I mean u r starting ur course in September!

I am not looking to move yet, but I need to know where to look,and so on.
I am not really eligable for uni accomodation, as I fall into prioroty cat 5-the lowest class.
It goes:
Undergrads (freshers)
Final year undergrads
Foreign Students (postgrads)
Students who havent lived/studied in the London area previously.
