At Islamic Aid, a UK based charity, we need an IT professional with experience in databases, SQL, VB, .net, asp, web technology and other relevant areas, on freelance/contract/pert-time basis. The task is to develop an information and communication system, using the latest technologies with the following main features:

Core contact database of names, addresses and other details about individuals/organisations.

Transactions - donations, one-off (through cheques, credit cards, postal orders, cash etc), regular donations (through standing orders, direct debit etc)

Sponsorships, where a donor supports regularly a specific individual, project or a programme in a specific country and we have to maintain a contact between the donor and the beneficiary, bringing in reports etc from the field, may be inputted in other countries.

Contact management, some features from software like Goldmine, Act etc to keep track of communication, transaction history and actions required.

Communications management, ability to maintain a large library of standard letter, which are modified according to person’s situation/history

Event management

Accounting and Financial Management

Integration with MS Office and other software

May be ability for donors to login through our website to see their record, donate online and update their record in real time.
