Pyar Ka Pagalpan, an upcoming Punjabi film, produced by Nadeem Mandwi and directed by a renowned sitcom (COLLEGE JEANS) director, NiNi ! Muammar Rana will be the hero for this very different type of Punjabi movie. Music for this film is composed by the great music maestro of these days, SHANI HAIDER and songs by Ali Zafar and Jamshed Attre, bu the word of it, the songs are a masterpiece.

^^ DON'T trust those Jung Blurbs...they have reported some really bizarre stuff in the past. That said, I would want to see more from Sajjad Ali after the atrocious Aik Aur Love Story. Let's hope Jung is right!

Ali Zafar was kicked out of Shoaib Mansoor's movie and Junaid Jamshed is not playing any role in that movie either. He was offered a role but he refused to play.

Hard talk on PTV

For the first time perhaps prominent film industry personalities came together to discuss the state of affairs in Lollywood and how to revive the industry. The compere Aftab Iqbal very tactfully managed the hard talk among the seasoned showbiz people at the PTV show 'Baat Niklaay Gee'.
The participants in the discussion included Syed Noor, Altaf Hussain, Nasir Adeeb, Raja Riaz, Reema, Mubasher Lucman, Ghulam Mohyuddin, Laila, Afzal Khan (John Rambo), Jamshed Zafar, Khalilur Rehman Qamar and Aslam Dar. The 50-minute show is the first of a series, which will feature discussions on different social and cultural issues. The first episode was recorded on Monday evening at the PTV Lahore Centre. The audience comprised of local journalists. The debate among the participants continued for nearly three hours and probed various aspects of the crisis in Lollywood. Some short and long term remedies were suggested after identifying the problems. The coming together of showbiz people on one platform, however, could not arrest the flames of rivalry among them and there came in a lot of accusations and counter allegations among some of the participants. The role of media also came under discussion.
All the participants called for action to stop the menace of piracy, which was affecting cinema business.
Some participants criticised private TV channels for giving more coverage to Bollywood and ignoring the local talent.
Reema spoke about her efforts to revive the industry and in this regard her step to make a big budget film.

Humayun saeed is turning film producer after his succesfull stint as a producer on TV. His film will be directed by shezad rafique, whos last film 'salakhein' was a super hit and film is called 'Tere Liye' and has a budget of 5 crores, humayun saeed has also been signed for 3 films, namely "Khuley Aasman Ke Nichey", "Tere Liye" and " Mein Aik Din Laot Aaon Ga" to be directed by magic man javeid fazil and produced by UK based shoaib alam, who has produced some of the biggest pakistani shows in uk and was earlier producing koi tujh sa kahaa but backed out later.
film "Kabhi Pyar Na Karna" which is under production right now is pakistans most expensivest film and has an item number by bollywoods sex symbol neha dhupia.
these films "Tadap","Dooriyan",Dil Se Dil Tak", " Tere Liye" "Khuley Aasman Ke Nichey" Aur " Main Aik DiN Lao Aaon Ga" are the big budget films under production right now and shall release this year or next year.
ajab gul has also started his next film after the success of 'KTSIPH', i have also heard the film broke all records in the last 20 years, but not confirmed yet, but he has started his next film now.
javed raza is also working on a big film, and reemas film has released all over pak, make sure you go and watch it and support the industry :) .

Actually the news is that whilst a lot of people have been contemplating to make a film and some even announced it but untill now no real big budget films have hit the floors though Khalil Rana is serious to push his film on the sets by September its called Mohabattan Sachian and so is Hummayun Saeed. His flick is to be directed by Shahzad Rafique. Javed Sheikh's film has no news coming out hope it gets done on time I am sure it will be a treat to watch. I am hoping that some of the new comers can get an opportunity as they are very good and impressive. I am most impressed by Adil HAshmi and Faisal Rahman their recent short films are remarkable and can make any director proud. I am also hoping that MArina Khan will soon realise her dream of making a film she is very intelligent and has a great vision. Add to that Mehreen Jabbar and Jami and Saquib Malik all are very promising lot. If the industry has to improve these and perhaps some more youngsters will need to prove their talents and trust me anyone of them is capable of turning a new leaf. Also in the pipeline are two films a by Sangeeta but then you can expect what you want to expect out of them. Ziddi Rajput a film released on the same day as Reema is a hit in the smaller cities that thrive on vulgarity and eroticisim. Its an apology to film making otherwise.
The music of both Muhabattan Sachian and Kuch Pyar Da Pagal Pan Wi Si is amazing and out of this world and trust me you have not heard better music in a long time. For all you fans of pakistani music its all sung by pakistani artists and some new singers and they can compete with some of the best talent in the world today.
Reema's film has gotten a mixed response but I feel more people have been critical of the film instead I went to enjoy it and my family and I had a great time. Its true that its longer than it should be but then its a very neat flick and keeps you in wonder with its cosmetic looks and other production elements. All in all I feel she has done a good job and deserves credit that at a time when most leading so called producers are afraid to invest she had faith and that she delivered.
When the film releases in UK pls go and see it with your family what we now need is an appreciative audience. It may not be the best film in the world but definitely a very good one and something she must be proud off.

The latest is that very well known directors of the yeastears Javed Fazil and Aslam Dar are working on their new films. They are both amazing and have a point to prove. Which means that their films will be a real treat not only for you all but also for us who are int eh field and will give an opportunity to us to learn from the masteros.

Sangeeta can spend millions of dollars making a movie - and it wont work - the woman has NO class.
I can’t believe she was an actress at one time - her taste in movies resembles the dirtiest low-lying areas of Pakistan. Total cheap garbage.
