Valima is not a core requirement of a nikkah - it is a sunnah … Not having a Valima doesnt make your marriage invalid … Read about Mushtaq Ahmed ( Former Pakistani cricketer , who is having his valima after 17 years of marriage ) …

and Mushtaq Ahmad is some religious authority??
