ISLAMABAD: The Lok Mela organised by Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage at Shakarparian continued to attract crowds of citizens and tourist on Saturday.
Artists from all provinces of the country, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir are showcasing their skills and expertise in the event. Indigenous arts, handicrafts, embroidery etc are attracting special attention of the tourists, who also find a chance to buy items of their interest direct from the artists.
The Lok Mela was inaugurated on Friday.
The Mela will continue till Sunday, April 20. At the end of the event, artists will be awarded certificates and awards as an acknowledgement to their services to the nation in keeping the national heritage alive even in this modern era.
