Log-in Issues

This morning I noticed something different, from all the PC I use, I was not able to log in properly. I was being kicked out from the redirect page which usually says thank you for signing in and takes you to the page you were browsing.

So, after clearing cache and cookies I was able to sign in but if I jump from computer to bazaar or etc. it just kicks me out, as I can see the “register” name under the banner.

Any idea what’s going on as I am having the same issue on all the PCs including my hand held.

Re: Log-in Issues

I was just about to start my own topic about this when i spotted this one… the same thin happenin to me and its really driving me insane… i can’t browse here properly and whenever i change the forum ,… gupshup ‘kicks’ me out!! its really frustrating to login again and again.. whats happening? :crying:

Re: Log-in Issues

same here, i click on feed back in the quick links and it logs me in automatically.

Re: Log-in Issues

cookies issue.

clear the cookies, delete the temp files in IE.

Then always log in using http://www.paklinks.com/gs

If you use gupshup.org or gupistan.com
I cant guarantee you will stay logged in.

Re: Log-in Issues

Todd needs to ask for help too? And here we were thinking he is a man of means and authority :p

Re: Log-in Issues

^ Yes the "humble @ your service Todd" may require help from time to time, don't you? ;)

Re: Log-in Issues

Giz, ma man... it is the damn URL

Re: Log-in Issues

which damn URL? no such URL known to me.

This might help all other Guppies with login and score submit problems:

Make Sure They Have Cookies Enabled !!!

In IE --

Tools --> Internet Options --> Privacy tab --> Advanced Button

Select "prompt" for both first+third party cookies then refresh the page.
When prompted for what to do with the cookie, put a check in the box "Apply my decision to all cookies from this site" and allow it.
You can then set your cookies back to block if you wish.
From now on, all cookies from paklinks will be allowed.

If you accidently blocked all cookies from paklinks (gupistan/gupshup),then do this:
Tools --> Internet Options --> Privacy Tab --> Edit Button

Scroll down the list and select paklinks, then hit the "Remove" button.
Make sure you set your cookies to prompt(see above) and refresh the page.
Alternatively, you could copy+paste the paklinks address in the window, and hit the "Allow" button.

Re: Log-in Issues

http://www.gupistan.com/ <---- this URL is the pain
so does the pages re-directed from the same e.g.

http://www.gupistan.com/showthread.php?t=204568
does not show all the smilies

whereas the link below from the same thread works just fine and with no log in issues

http://www.paklinks.com/gs/showthread.php?t=204568

may be we need to look at how the hopping and redirection is setup?!?!?

Re: Log-in Issues

I had the similar issue.

Here is a solution:

  1. clear all cookies, biscuits, biscotties etc from the browser.

  2. go to this link http://www.paklinks.com/gs/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=255

  3. input, username and password and then click the “remember me” box.

dont sweat trying to use other URLs, just replace them with this http://www.paklinks.com/gs and save it in your browser.

easy nuff?

Re: Log-in Issues

^FabiO, it was the link now everything works like the it should, even from my jasjar

Re: Log-in Issues

how does one clear cookies?
I have this problem too

Re: Log-in Issues

^ you put them in a garbage bag and throw em out.

Re: Log-in Issues

In IE:

menu at the top: Go to --

TOOLS --> INTERNET OPTIONS

on that first TAB: you'll see a button called "DELETE COOKIES"

Re: Log-in Issues

with a cup of English Tea

Re: Log-in Issues

And if you so happen to use Firefox - the fastest spreading browser in the market - you click Tools > Options and select "clear" for cookies.
