I want to lodge a protest against the GS mangement regarding moderator selection process. I believe that it is not beneficial nor is it fair to have like minded mods for a particular section. The mods should represent both sides.
For instance World Fourm, Here you have two pro-one-sided mods that would scare the living daylights out of Kaaba Imam and Al-Azhar university combined running the world forum. While I appreciate MaMooli and Ravage, and their moderation skills, however the whole forum is lop-sided now. For instance there was Queer or someone having a converstion with Ravage and ravage while replying was editing queers responses, thus making the whole post/thread useless.
All I am saying is to add two more moderators that have different views than the pro-Islami/pro-muslim couple we got.

Well since you're complaining about mods, does that mean we should complain about members, you know get rid of people like verizon etc. :p

A very good point Verizon. As an ardent believer in core competency delivering value, experience and expert education in the appropriate forum subject matter should be the way to go. No one would question a moderator of WA if they knew they received a MPP from Kennedy School of Gov't and worked at a think tank. But a techie engineer taking about political economics really devalues the proposition. Because they are hampered by their own limitations when trying to discuss something even half way topical to the forum and where even marginally intelligent and fact based responses are appreciated, they fall woefully short.
I peronally think..ehsan deserves better..

You wish eh? I have never complained to mods except sending them what, three thread links. Because I honestly dont think people such as yourself are worth complaining to mods over. I try to let adults take care of themselves, dont believe mods should have to babysit.

As for the thread, it might have a point - but a pointless one. If we were to complain that a certain mod was not suited to the particular forum - I think we would wish to get rid of half the mods.
To be quite honest, I dont think it matters whether ravage and ma mooli have similar thoughts about WA. I mean that hardly matters when both are sensible and fair people. It comes down to that. I mean you can have very different thinking people, yet they might not be too bright about making decisons. And again if an unfair decision is made, you can always come back to feedback to whine. :o

that is exactly the point...it is like a football ref officiating a baseball game and giving penalties to the runner for sliding into the second basemen.

I agree with MQ, I think.
Verizon, stop complaining man. When someone’s post get deleted/edited, that is a testament to the truthfulness of that view. If your posts go un-deleted, that means it is just a stupid inconsequential post. Look at members like MQ whose posts have never been deleted or edited.
Pindoo, you are totally wrong. Mods should just edit curses like FK word, and leave the rest there, and one doesnt need a MPP (whatever that is) to be a Mod.

Verizon what makes you think everyone will ever agree? The two mods cant exactly make that happen. What exactly worries you? I doubt if they will ban you so relax. They might just make sure you guys all disagree in a civil manner.
