Lockheed Offers To Upgrade F-16s, Give C-130s

Lockheed offers to upgrade F-16s, give C-130s 14-08-2004

ISLAMABAD: Lockheed Martin (LM) will help upgrade the existing fleet of F-16 and provide C-130 aircrafts and radar installations to the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) after fulfilling the legal and procedural requirements.

General (r) James L Jamerson, president of LM corporate business development in the Middle East and Africa, said this during a meeting with Minister for Defence Rao Sikandar Iqbal on Thursday. The minister told the LM official that the PAF had sent a letter of request to the United States government demanding additional F-16 aircrafts. He urged Mr Jamerson to support the move.

I bet they just want to tag Pakistani jets with some sort of detecting sensors so they can trace the activity of Pakistani jets! They just cannot be trusted.

Nutz!

Conspiracy theories after conspiracy theories! This is an art mastered by the commie lefties.

For your info, US operates from Pakistani air bases. They don't need to put detecting sensors in the jets. Even if the technology exists, care to explain what would be the range of these sensors? 50 miles? or 500 miles. What frequency they will operate on? How can they keep that frequency totally obscure from the multitudes of receivers all over the playing fields? Quit this Mullah-Aya-Tullah thinking bud! It would only lead you to a mental disease called "Araab Madness".

I wouldnt be suprised if they tried to add some sort of a buggind device i.e. remember Jiang Zing (if correct name) had his private plane bugged probabaly by the NSA though CIA got the bollcking for it.

if they did use some sort of a conventional bug/tracker I'm sure it will be easily found with bug sniffers although if such a system was disguised within the communication hardware could be a lot tricker to catch.

Stuff like this has happend before. Israel once tried to sell a exchnage system to Pak tel through an american front comapny trying best to hide the real origins of the hardware but Pak found out and it had some backdoor access. So israel could monitor all calls going through that perticular exchange simillar to what a trojan horse is.

Through their satellite surveillance, they will know where each plane is anyway when the planes are on the ground.

Through long range radar surveillance, they will know where the planes are when they are in the air anyway. Pakistan doesn't have the capbility to jam the latest generation long-range US radars, since we can barely manage to have the technology to match the Indian military (which is a technological generation behind that of the USA).

Given the USA's surveillance capabilities to find planes anyway, it's not worth the risk to them to lose future hardware contracts to the Pakistani armed forces should they bug the planes and the bugs be found.

If it's our nuclear weapons, which are continually hidden, then that's a different matter. But planes are practically impossible to hide from the USA anyway, bugged or not.

This is just paranoia. Lockheed and the USA are trying to clinch this deal because they want the repeat business, and thus money, from Pakistan.

Dude! You are showing the same paranoia about nukes now. Look US gave us the gift of nukes. It is time to realize that if we have to worry about Pak-nukes; USA is the last one on the list.

Traitors like Qadeer are much closer to home. This namak-haram Qadeer "sells" to Iran and Libya, the two worst criminals in the world (ok add NK in that list). Mullah-Aya-Tullah brothers get cought in the act and without any hesitation point the fingers back to this loser Qadir.

What a shame this Qadeer has brought to our country. He should be hung for the treason.

Long live brave people of Pakistan. Pak-army zindabaad.

if it make Iran and Libya worst criminals then Pakistan is in the same league having done the same crime to obtain the technology. plus I think you shouldnt use such words for this scientist, he is not proved guilty but accepted all the responsibilty( really doubt he had done this without our great Army knowledge)

I wonder how much the Americans paid Pakistan (& Dr. Qadeer Khan) to come up with this invisible (non-existent) nuclear black market! $3 billions?

This is the most jack-A$$ Biddu statement. Governments of Iran and Libya are the instigators of anarchy in the world.

Pakistani government on the other hand is the source of stability in the region and in the world.

How could one even put Pakistan in the league of nikammah (loser) Deens group.

hahahh! a very Lallu parsad statement again. OK Mr. shak you go on TV and say you killed your chacha (uncle). Then you go around saying I just took responsibility, do not shoot me! People will simply laugh at you and still hang you with a pole.

How much they paid your Gaddah fi (the Khota fi). He sent his family jewel to USA for how many gazillions?

Man! Burying your head in the sand will only make one an arrogant Biddu. Accept the facts and live the life of a normal person. Otherwise at least match the MAToo theories with Shak baba.
