hey guys… i have got sum lockey and arvi in my fridge and i dunno how to cook with them. never used either of the veggies. i can make arvi gosht that i know.. i was thinkin of makin nice fried juicy arvi.. for lockey i was thinkin wot and how to make? can i make it to b eaten with roti.. its a medium size long lockey. if nothin works i mite make lockey ka raita.
so can anyone pls tell me a nice recipe for arvi and lockey.. if not then do share ur lockey raita recipe.. thanks alot guys!

Loki can be made with meat or just by itself.

Just make your masala the way you normally do and add loki. Cover and let it cook till tender.

If you wanna make it with meat, add loki after meat is tenderized.

u can make the lokey with daal
and even lokey halwa

u can make delicious loki ka raita, just peel n make cubes of it, boil them, drain the water n put it in thick consistency youghart with fresh ground mint n green chillies. it’s so refreshing in summer with roti.
or u can also make loki ki sabzi by frying some onion n then put loki+ tomatoes+green chillis+salt+red pepper, cook till tender n voila. sprinkle some lemon juice on it while serving.

owise u can either make loki with chanay ki daal or loki with meat

p.s. I work full time n cook fresh daily so most of the dishes I make r simple 30 minute or less ones :bummer:

sooo helpful thnkieeee!!! are we not supposed to put bhunawa zeera in the raita also. i remember my MIL raita tasting of zeera too??

Arvi can be made with aaloos, just like you'd make aaloo baingan.
