Locked out.

It was a rainy day, so I turned the car engine off , picked up the umbrella and got out of the car then locked the car using the lock button and went to the office. When I reached the office door and wanted to unlock it I realized I have locked the keys inside the car. :o

I did not have a duplicate in my wallet at that time so I thought that I will not call the locksmith as he will charge 60 dollars . So I called a cab and went home and got the spare key of the car. When I reached back to the Office the cab meter was showing 65 dollars.

It all happened in a suburb of Los Angeles a few years ago. I had never rode a cab there so I did not know how much would it cost. :bummer:

From that time on I keep a spare car and home key in my wallet.

Have you ever been locked out of home or car ? What is your story ?

Re: Locked out.

My sister and I were on the way home from school and my mom called and asked to stop at the grocery store. My sis is younger than I and was sleeping in the passenger seat. I woke her up and told her Im going inside, leaving the car on so you wont freeze.

Im in the grocery store and I see her walking towards me 10 minutes later. I asked her where the keys are and of course she had left them inside the car.

The car was ON, with the keys in the ignition, burning all of my precious gas and we're locked out in freezing cold weather!

A cop had to come and jimmy the car open for us otherwise we would have to call the locksmith too.

You're not alone...lol

Re: Locked out.

I was unable to find my cellphone, went to the garage to see if it was in my car, and accidentally locked myself out of the house, did not have car keys or house keys. begum had left already. luckily I was fully dressed, had my bag and all, so just called a cab and went to work, and had begum pick me up in the evening.

Now I have keyless entry into garage and from garage to home. I cant really lock myself out of my car unless I was trying to do that, so I dont worry about that.

Re: Locked out.

funny........... why didnt you get the train?

Look at his location there are no trains in Area 51 it has either cabs or flying saucers.:halo:

Re: Locked out.

Couple weeks back my toddler closed the door on me while I was taking the trash out. Luckily we have keyless entry on one of the garage doors which helped save the day. Otherwise I have no idea what I would have done.... me locked out in the cold, toddler inside the house all alone, help being atleast an hour away.
