From rigging booths to blocking women from voting and running in elections in certain villages/towns, to debates between candidates on TV…
Please comment on what you think - is there any point? Is there something different about this provincial election compared to the ones before? Any hope that this election will help veer the country in the right direction? What do you think of the media coverage.

A correction, it's a district/local councils election..not a provincial one. Is there any point..well considering the results in certain regions have been pre determined...I would say for the people who decided the results beforehand..yes there is a point. The rest of us are just spectators...

who said its "elections"? its more like getting stamps for "selections".... when was the last time we had "fair" elections? :-|

Captain, we are always having fair elections, last time was when Musharaf won with big support from army.

The only two fair elections held in 1971 and 1988. The rest were engineered.

^ Even some elections were handled by poor engineering firms. If elections are to be engineered then they must be held under good engineering firms. After all, we have many engineers graduating each year.

these elections were a joke yaar! complete joke. isaw cndidates being thorwn out!! all govt policticain where ever where. but opposition leader got banned!! the amount of develpment that has happend inthe last 2 months has not happened inthe last 4 years. what a bribe. and election commiosner has not got clue baout the law inrelaton to impartaility!! its the first time the president and Pm have attended election rallies what a sham!!!!
