another Pakistan bashing Indian movie produced by the same guy named J.P. Dutta who produced Border a few years ago. The movie seems to be a big budget affair with a cast of more than 6 couples all leading bollywood faces of today. I’d like to watch it, it might be a good movie for the sake of being a good production, direction, performance project etc, but of course it’s bound to raise anger among Pakistanis as it is is obviously going to show Pakistanis as villains.
I wonder what Shoaib Mansoor is doing with his “Yeh Baraf Humari Hai”. He’s the only person in our country who is capable enough to produce an equal answer to such films. With the release of this new indian film, Shoaib mansoor’s already slow pace might get slower since the man is a proven perfectionist who’s never in a hurry. I believe understands his positioon and responsibilty now and might make a few changes in his project to make it good enough to be a reply to India’s movie on the same topic.

I hope it's better than that awful crap Gaddar and Helo!
A film critic once said famously ' we have found a new weapon to destroy our neighbors across the border: bore them to death with crap movies!'

they are quite successful. some pakistanis still gets suckered into watching these movies.
the name of the film should give it away...
many a times these films get hit due to nice music , good acting...
Border was one such case - I saw Border and I did not find any thing anti-Pakistani in it..
but films like Gadar etc are lousy..because they are less on substance and more on naarebaazi..
in usual circumstances i would NEVER watch this movie. but i can’t help it my fav hero is in there, Bikram saluja. most of u probably don’t know him, he’s a newcomer, not for me though, cuz i’ve been his psycho fan since before he was even famous as a model. i mean i’m very patriotic thats why i’m only gonna watch the sceens that he’s in and just fast forward the rest of the movie. but if they pair him with kareena or esha I’LL BREAK HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!
Whenever such a movie releases this question comes to my mind that whats the point of doing it all and what is it going to prove? as i live in a multi-cultural society and have alot of friends and business associates that are indians and they seem to be pretty happy dealing with us,considering we are pakistanis, and feel comfortable. i have never seen such an attempt been made from our film industry, the reason can be either we are not sound enough financially or may be we don’t have a viewership for it.
the thing that bothers me is that these indian folks making these movies for the sheer purpose of making money creates a doubt about the sincerety in the mind of their youth about us, pakistan and pakistanis.i get to ask questions from my indian friends as some of them were born here and are not familiar with the independence era and some just want to listen to our part of the story.
We can only see our fav. actors and actresses passionately saying stuff that we being a pakistani don’t wanna listen to and at the end of the day they get paid for it and go home either driving their MERCs and BMWs or might return back to their home (as in the case of SUNNY DEOL who is permenantly settled down in UK).so whats the point of all this???
i have nothing against anybody or anyone but i don’t people having double standards that they blame pakistan for terrorism and then make such movies keeping in mind that FILM INDUSTRY is their second biggest industry and is well-known all over the world and with the help of publicity give a bad name to an ISLAMIC world.
I also worte a letter to an indian website that i used to visit about this issue but they didn’t reply.the reason i did that was because i had a little discussion with a SIKH friend of mine but he was polite enough to not get angry and pull out his KARPAN
but it left me thinking that is this the way both the countries should be living, with double standards but i can’t do it.
Most Indians in India have not come across Pakistanis and know virtually nothing of what is happening on the other side of the border. At least you can see what Mumbai is like from movies, but the average Indian has no idea what Lahore looks like and even less what makes a Pakistani tick. Thus Pakistan is alien and ostensibly hostile.
This is exploited by the filmakers. Only way out is for Pakistan to make lots of good movies and export them to India. Also, let Indian artists and businessmen go across freely. Once economic ties are strong these kind of crap films will automatically cease.
