Lobia Ka Salan

How to make it? I never knew that people eat lobia ka salan too since i only make chat of lobia.

Do share its recipe so i could try it myself plus how does it taste? Like regular green beans or its different in taste? A friend told me its slightly sweet in taste?

it’s just like any other bean…you may try the same recipe that u use for Rajma [kidney beans]. :slight_smile:

Thing is i have never tried any beans salan except regular fresh beans which we call “phalyaan” i know the Rajma they are slimmy right?

okay this is how i cook any beans/chanay ka saalan. soak the lobia overnite. pressure cook them. slice onion, gg paste, tomatoes, add in the basic masalas (red chilli powder, turmeric, salt, coriander powder, cumin seeds). cook on low flame till oil sperates. grind it into a paste. add in the pressure cooked lobia (drain the water, dont throw use it for the curry). bhuno the lobia , add in water. mash lill bit of the lobia (thts how i like it0 oil comes on surface. volla ! ur done :slight_smile:

i make it almost the same way as moonlight except i just make the masal, dont use tomatoes then add lobia bhoonofy a little add water and pressure cook for at least 45 mins. then check if its tender enuf for u. add imli ka rass. now cook on low flame for sometime, mash some lobia and add to this , add a little garam masala in the end plus corriander leaves
