Well if u are rich saudi and u end up in las vegas ahem ahem there is something wrong with this picture. I was reading newspaper like yesterday and this news got my attention. A saudi prince spent million dollers in one day. And 3 of these rich princes togther spent 5 million dollers in 3 days. The owner of the hotel in which these so called muslims were staying said " i have seen a lot of stupid rich people coming here but they hit the top of my list"
Apparently they have doller wells in saudi.

Going to Casinos or gambling has nothing to do with how wealthy one is. It is a habit, if done excessively can turn into an addiction (just like alcoholism). There are a thousands times as many poor gamblers as the rich ones. For them gambling or wasting their money away has nothing to do with them being Saudi or Muslim or Rich.
I am in favor of legalized gambling in Islamic countries. Pakistan should open a few casinos, so the rich Gulf Sheikhs will come and spend their millions in Pakistani economy and not in Las Vegas.
The way saudis waste money, i dont think any other rich nation in the world do the same. The las vegas is just an example, otherwise a lot of them are doing the same in the other gulf countries outside saudia. It is because , in my view, they are rich without their own efforts and they still have to see the effects of empty pockets.
In Saudi Arabia--most, if not all the wealth is in the hands of the Royal family, relatives and close associates; the rest of the country and its population are on a extremely rich handout or 'welfare' system. Without the labour of the South Asian & South East Asian countries; management skills of Lebanese, Palestinians and some extent Indo-Pakistani - Saudis wouldn't even know how to operate a microwave oven, let alone - run their country.
Saudi Arabia, rich as is, almost came close to being insolvent or did not have liquid funds to pay foreign debts; It spends hundreds of billions dollars on Arms to fight not Israel but other Muslim countries, notably Iran; guess how much goes to poor muslim countries: very little or token enough to keep them ingratiated to the Saudis.
Once the oil runs out or alternative to oil discovered - Saudis will be back to the pre-oil boom days:poor and begging!
