I was watching "that's how it ends" on netflix and In it some one was suggesting the same thing.
If you exist some where else and in a simulation you could say on both places "that is a simulation" and "this is a simulation"
But if you only exist in a simulation then its not a simulation for you. That is existence you know. It has all the essential non science fiction watching folks call "a life". If you could kill your self crying over some loved ones death then its pretty real for you.
If it was 700s and you got infection and rot slowly to death I say that is as real as it gets.
It may be simulation for some else.. but for every one living it.. it has all the essentials of a reality.

I think this is quite a serious topic although it sounds stupid at first. The famous Greek philosopher, Plato, mentioned (this is disputed though), ?I know that I know nothing? - also called Socratic paradox. Such theories have the potential to take us down a rabbit hole that can have serious consequences about our beliefs. This is the darkside of philosophy and majority of fuqaha have stated that it is haraam to study Philosophy.
I think a person should know basic terminology and definitions in order to communicate but should not engage in Philosophy any further. An experimental course was introduced which I took in Pakistan and it was about how philosophy alone is sufficient to determine ethics. We had a ton of shouting matches throughout that course and it was never offered again. That was my first introduction to hardcore philosophy. If someone(human or Iblees) tries to engage us in philosophical constructs, we should just excuse ourselves and not engage it it.
There are some hadees about Iblees trying to confuse a believer at the time of death in order to make him die as a non-believer. Also there are some accounts from fuqaha who witnessed a dying person engaged is some philosophical argument with Iblees moments before death. That is one of the trials of death some pious people face.
Recently, I have been reading about people’s experiences taking psychedelics. Many claim that after the experience, they have a better understanding of our world and that yes, it maybe a simulation. There was also a quantum physics theory I remember reading about long ago relating to this topic. When you take a moment to really think about our reality, it seems so much stranger than fiction. Looking at it from a religious POV, since this life is a test and afterlife is supposed to last forever, the test could very well be just a black mirror episode. Humans are bound by the 3 dimension way of thinking, that alone keeps us out of the greater loop.

Did you write it yourself? Nicely put. But how does feminine v/s masculine fit in the list?
BTW never refer to quantum theory unless you are talking about quantum theory. Many people use their nut job theory based on quantum weirdness none of those people have proofs and are not actually physicists.
And that was my actual point even for some smarter being who made this , it could be a simulation. But we living in it.. its as real as it gets.
On top the common human definition of life and living does not get nullified. So even the sci-fi nuts claiming that its all a simulation are right… the common human are still right about their perception of life and living.
In my books that made this theory more abstract than any thing. Some what like infinity.
