Can you every truly have a new/fresh start? I think it’s impossible to divorce the person we are today from our past, including our experiences, relationships and mistakes. I’d say we have to manage or mitigate the impact of our past on our present, but denying or starting fresh would be impossible.

I agree with Uncle F…it’s not same as forgetting your past, it just means to get over your past.
