which one do you really perfer though? the new yaak accent? joisey? the southern twang of texas, or the drawl of lousiana? do you prefer the new brunswick accent eh, or the multicultural tone of the GTA?

Points to ponder :chai:

Re: Living away from home

I’ve been living away since I was 17, mostly due to studies. Father’s job has him moving so much.

its been fun, and learned a lot. Can’t cook well but after marriage the wife cooks so its all good

I love Texas accents (but not Jerry Hall’s OTT drawl)

Re: Living away from home

Moving from Karachi to Houston I have things I miss about home, but then there are thing I don’t miss at all. Family and friends are what I miss the most. Aside from that Houston is way better than what I left behind. I don’t mind having electricity all day and showers are nice too. And Houston is a lot greener than Karachi. Got nothing to complain about.

Indeed

That kid is a legend. He should get a scholarship just based on how internet popular he is.

Have you heard any of the American astronaut’s accents? They’re all mostly from Ohio and they have such a comforting Southern accent.

Re: Living away from home

Didn’t know Ohio was a Southern state.

Re: Living away from home

Traitor.

Actually, you never were a Pakistani. So yeah.

Re: Living away from home

What do I know, I’m not from US (also US geography confuses me) shrugs

Re: Living away from home

i lived away from home for a few years in India when i was quite young. i had come to the city to attend grade 10 and the university at age 14 and i didn’t know how to handle myself and, as a result, i was kicked out of my professional program that i was in.

i was a bit older and a bit maturer when i came to Canada and i lived 5 years away from my bro’s home. i did what i needed to do academically. that was a happy end to my student life.

i hated living away from home because i am a very homely person. in India i used to travel back N forth to/from my village almost twice a month. it was a 12 hour overnight journey by train. i wasted so much time traveling hence neglecting my studies.
