Hi,

I just wondered if my husband has got a point.

I’m newly married. We live in our own home. I asked my husband if I could come stay with my parents now and again, he agreed but said I have to stay with his parents too.

I said why? My home is my childhood home, that’s why I want to stay. I don’t want him to come with me as I want to spend time with my parents by myself so hence why I want to.
Why do I need to stay at his? We can visit his family whenever he likes.

Am I being unreasonable?

Like it or not, wives are the glue in the family. It's not because this responsibility has been thrown on them. It's because they are good in it. I am sure that if your watch your mom, you will realise that she keeps the family together and creates a bond between her maikaa and susraal.

But to be honest, more than your hubby's demand, I find it odd that you have your own home now, but you want to go live with your parents. Why?

I have two other sister in laws who live separately.

I want to stay and visit my mum for a few days, what's wrong with that?

I'm the only daughter that's why, so have a special bond with my mum.

How far away is your parents home from your current home? How long ago did you get married?
