How many of you saw the interview today of Zille Subhani by Talat Hussain?

Of all the interviews that i have listened to by Pakistani anchors, Talat asked the most pointed and pertinent questions.

I feel he is the best journalist around.

He said that the opposition was trying to associate me with the MQM. He said though he was an Urdu-speaking he had no connection with MQM.

Poor guy has to justify every now and then that he doesnt have any affiliation with MQM. Although even a blind person can see his soft corner for them.

General Musharraf said that he was saddened by the loss of human lives in Karachi but opposition parties should have thought that why they were challenging the government collation partners.

wow! what a justification for the loss of life. This shows what he meant by the phrase “you will be crushed if you come in the direction of people you will be crushed”…

He said it is totally wrong that the Chief Justice was dragged by his hair.

General Musharraf said that he was not aware that the mobile phone of the Chief Justice had been snatched but he conceded that the presidential reference was mishandled which was wrong. He said the Chief Justice was not dragged by the hair, but actually the law-enforcing personnel were providing him security. He said it had happened with him many a time that security personnel put their hand on his head.

Commenting on a petition filed by Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal’s President Qazi Hussain Ahmed challenging his military uniform, President Musharraf said that the Supreme Court is the right forum to decide the issue. **He said after failing to keep his promise to doff the uniform he has learnt a lesson that in future promises should not be made.

Definitely..Talat..is a very learned man...

BB in his new book version ..written that she did not make General her millitary secretary as Intelligence reports were there that he has some sort of connections with MQM....while BB was harsh opponent of MQM...

I remember him from the days when he used to anchora Talk show in PTV, may be in 1998 and later he used to ask difficult questions from the politicians like Sheikh Rasheed, and when sheikh rasheed got in power there was no more Talat Hussain on PTV.

He is back in same tone and with same kind of program, and i can say that he falls in the category f Dr. Shahid Masood.

I will suggest all the Chicken Hearted Generals of USA..UK...andAustrailia..etc...that ...plz..come to 6 month course in Staff College of Pakistan Army in Quetta....so that these poor Generals...know...how to fight with enemy....

as we ahve enough experience by crushing Red Army and also cruhing 6 Lakh army of india in Kashmir....

But these Poor soldiers of USA and Uk can only fight in films and Tv shows !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talat Hussain interviewd Musharraf for Aaj. In the following clip he questioned him about his crisis of legitimacy. See how the military dictator starts blabbering after this question. He somehow tried to answer the question but his blabbering didn’t make any sense at all, this guy is really fun to watch.

How bizzare, if similar events had happened in Balochistan..he'd be the first to say it was a challenge to the writ of the state. He has obviously lost the one thing that people appreciated him for, that he kept in some touch with reality. It seems he has gone down the absolute one way path ...which is sad, he seemed the least power hungry of leaders when he took over..and now he's ended up the most.
