**1946: **An early chance for Manchester United and Michael Owen at Turf Moor, where Patrice Evra sends in a low cross from the left - but a slight deflection takes it away from the England striker, who was waiting to pounce.1945: We’re under way at Turf Moor, St Andrews and the KC Stadium.BBC Sport’s Phil McNulty tweeting at Turf Moor:](http://twitter.com/philmcnulty)“Unprecedented demand for match programmes at Burnley. A new print-run commissioned for tomorrow to satisfy the souvenir hunters.”

1943: There’s been something missing from the Premier League season so far…We’ve had 12 top-flight games now, at the weekend and last night, and have not seen any draws. American sports fans will not be complaining (they don’t really do draws over there) but, for me, this season won’t have truly begun until we’ve had our first dreadful 0-0 or thrill-a-minute 3-3. Fingers crossed for tonight then…**1942: Burnley manager Owen Coyle: **"It’s fitting that our first home game in the Premier League is against Manchester United, one of the best teams in the world. It will be sold out and we all know the atmosphere Turf Moor generates when that’s the case - we had that last year, particularly against Arsenal and Tottenham in the Carling Cup. It’s a great game for everybody involved at the club - but what we have to do is make sure we do ourselves justice and go and get some points."1941: Portsmouth goalkeeper David James has just walked out on to the Fratton Park pitch, wearing a bright pink kit - not like him to make a spectacle of himself. It’s for charity, apparently.1940: Stoke midfielder Dean Whitehead on his side’s trip to Anfield: "We are going there to get something from the game, not to lay down and die. Liverpool will want to put things right after losing at the weekend. But hopefully we can frustrate them as much as Spurs did. If we can keep Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres quiet, we will be in with a chance. We need to stand strong and keep a good shape."1939: One more Stoke change for you - Potters boss Tony Pulis has also brought in Richard Cresswell to replace Liam Lawrence.1937: Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez on his side’s title prospects following Sunday’s defeat by Spurs: "I have been surprised by the reaction from the first game, and comments about our prospects for the season. It is too early to judge. Now we have another game, quickly. A win will make things easier but I do expect similar comments from the critics if we do not."From graduatefast on 606:](http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A55976304s_fromedit=1&s_type=15&s_sport=football)“I’m delighted to see Michael Owen starting for Man Utd. Not surprised to see Dimitar Berbatov on the bench. Burnley will definitely park the bus, the ball will end up loose in the box and who else but Owen to finish Good choice Sir Alex Ferguson!”

1934: TEAM NEWS Birmingham v Portsmouth
Birmingham make one change to the side beaten at Manchester United on Sunday - Garry O’Connor comes in for Lee Carsley, who takes his place on the bench. Portsmouth also make one change, with new signing Anthony vanden Borre replacing John Utaka wide on the right, with Utaka dropping to the bench.1932: Around 15 minutes to go until kick-off at Turf Moor, St Andrews and the KC Stadium. Liverpool-Stoke starts at 2000 BST. If you give this page a manual refresh, you will be able to view Score at the top for the duration of tonight. From Addy via text on 81111: “Just got into Turf Moor, there’s an amazing atmosphere, I’m expecting a fast paced game! C’mon United!”

1929: TEAM NEWS Liverpool v Stoke****Liverpool’s Daniel Ayala will partner Jamie Carragher in central defence after Martin Skrtel fails to recover from the head injury sustained in the defeat at Tottenham and Yossi Benayoun comes in for Ryan Babel in midfield. Stoke bring in Glenn Whelan to make up a five-man midfield, with forward Ricardo Fuller dropping to the substitutes bench.1926: Hmmm, a few of you have picked up on the chat about Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez apparently stepping down today, but it does appear to have just been a rumour. I say that, because Rafa is at Anfield tonight ahead of the Reds’ game with Stoke - which appears (to me anyway) to suggest he is still in charge.1924: TEAMS Birmingham v Portsmouth
Birmingham: Hart, Carr, Roger Johnson, Queudrue, Vignal, Larsson, Ferguson, Fahey, McFadden, O’Connor, Jerome. Subs: Maik Taylor, Carsley, Benitez, Phillips, McSheffrey, Parnaby, O’Shea.
Portsmouth: James, Kaboul, Wilson, Distin, Belhadj, Vanden Borre, Diop, Mokoena, Mullins, Kranjcar, Piquionne. Subs: Begovic, Hughes, Kanu, Nugent, Utaka, Basinas, Ward.1922: BBC Sport’s Phil McNulty at Turf Moor: "A vibrant atmosphere inside Turf Moor already. First top tier game between Burnley and Manchester United in more than 33 years - and the home fans inside and outside the ground are relishing every second. Burnley’s Owen Coyle is a progressive young manager with a growing reputation and he will enjoy pitting his wits against Sir Alex Ferguson."1921: TEAM NEWS Burnley v Manchester United
So Michael Owen will make his first Manchester United start as Sir Alex Ferguson shuffles his pack following Sunday’s win over Birmingham, with Michael Carrick and Park Ji-Sung also drafted into the starting XI. Burnley hand a debut to £2.8m new-boy Andre Bikey in their only change following Saturday’s defeat by Stoke.1920: TEAMS Liverpool v Stoke

Man Utd: Foster, O’Shea, Jonathan Evans, Brown, Evra, Park, Anderson, Carrick, Giggs, Owen, Rooney. Subs: Kuszczak, Neville, Berbatov, Scholes, Valencia, Gibson, De Laet.1915: **** Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson: "Burnley is a fantastic story. You think back to the 1960s and the great players like Jimmy McIlroy, so this will be a terrific experience for them. They have not been in the top division since 1976 so you can imagine what the atmosphere will be like. It will be absolutely red hot. That is where we hope our experience comes into it."1913: Some early team news for you from Turf Moor - Michael Owen will make his first competitive start for Manchester United. From G-FORCE-GERRARD on 606:](http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A55976304s_fromedit=1&s_type=15&s_sport=football)“Big game for Rafa today with rumours spreading about his departure, and will heap an extra load of pressure on a very tough game for the Reds.”

1908: TEAM NEWS Hull City v Tottenham
**Hull **boss Phil Brown makes just one change to the starting XI that lost narrowly to Chelsea at the weekend, with striker Daniel Cousin coming in for injured midfielder Dean Marney. As expected, Ledley King misses out for Tottenham, with Alan Hutton coming in at right-back and Vedran Corluka moving across to centre-back. Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe continue up front, meaning Peter Crouch’s wait for a full Spurs debut goes on.BBC Sport’s Phil McNulty tweeting at Turf Moor:](http://twitter.com/philmcnulty)“Burnley fans packing Harry Potts way outside Turf Moor in buoyant mood. Very warm reception for Sir Bobby Charlton from home fans.”

I’ll bring you news from all of those, plus updates from Newcastle-Sheff Wed in the Championship, Chesterfield-Notts County in League Two and a smattering of Champions League qualifiers as well. Phew!1903: Yep, there is sure to be a very special atmosphere for Burnley’s first home Premier League game, which sees them take on the defending champions - can Owen Coyle’s side shock their illustrious near-neighbours We will find out very soon folks…1900 BST: Evening all - it’s a big night tonight, especially in east Lancashire. Exactly 33 years and four months ago, Lou Macari’s goal gave Manchester United a 1-0 victory at Turf Moor and consigned Burnley to relegation from the old First Division. Tonight sees the Clarets host their first top-flight match since that season… and guess who is back in town
