Live Updates of Azadi March

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

I warned Imran khan of this probable outcome here on GS many times but i doubt he reads our posts carefully…he should. His highest point was when nawaz govt crumbled under pressure and agreed to all of his electoral reforms demands. He should have declared victory and told govt “insan kay bachay ban jao..implement all these reforms to my satisfaction nahieen to next time i will go to Islamabad and destroy you guys” …the govt was so scared of him at that point…

but he decided to choose a different path hoping that people will come out in big numbers. Miscalculation big time and then his pathetic team took momentum away by escaping on the first night. I wonder what will happen to PTI if god-forbidden Imran is sick for few moths or something…

now khan is cornered and he is taking some desperate steps…and you know cornered tiger is very dangerous. but politics requires a bit more sophistication. It is very clear that no serious strategic planning was done for this march and decisions are now being taken on adhoc basis.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

I actually understand your pain and frustration, and trust me, you are more *afraid *than disappointed. You are afraid of failure, his failure, you are afraid of being disappointed. And deep down even you know he hasn’t yet failed, but you are still afraid for some reason. And it if for that reason the good old Franklin Roosevelt said that only thing we have to fear is the fear itself. Honestly, just look at the radiant confidence on Immy’s face and the unshakable self belief in his voice despite everyone writing him off. That man isn’t worried one bit, he’s absolutely loving every single minute of his journey, so why should we get so upset and stressed out? Besides, too much stress is not good for your skin, so I’d say allow it and just watch things unfold. There is always so much to politics than what meets the eye.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

This could be a middle way for face saving

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Imran khan has rekindled the hopes of millions, I hope he doesn’t extinguish them. I hope no one gets hurt today. I am really feeling depressed now, maybe should take a break. See you guys later.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Before this thread gets littered by painfully negative propaganda tweets from Geo dastards. I must say one thing to the people who are still hell-bent of bashing Imran and PTI for sake of bashing. The kind of mass mobilisation, passion, desire for struggle and youth activism that you are seeing on the streets of Pakistan cannot be taken lightly. Whether your political affiliation allows you to admit this or not, but it is an extremely promising sign. If you truly want Pakistan’s democratic traditions, human rights and personal and group freedoms to flourish, than for God’s sake, do not demonise and discredit those people out there for sake it.

I urge you to show some respect and appreciation for their courage and efforts, if you mindlessly start discouraging, ridiculing and suppressing their voices for some cheap political scoring, then no group in future will consider worth mobilising to fight for a cause, no matter how just and pending their cause may be. Protesters cannot be entirely right and protesters cannot be entirely wrong, but it is our job to tolerate their voices and understand their grievances, and work towards solving them. So do try to draw a line somewhere in your criticism and outright condemnation.

If thousands of people stranded in the Capital for days cannot get their demands heard and understood, then what hope you think helpless minority groups have who cannot even pull such numbers? Protests are part of all legitimate and healthy democracies. Our constitution allows peaceful protests to take place and the same constitutions also calls for complete protection of those protesters.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

If you ask or allow MQM , they can easily bring four or five time bigger crowd than this from Sindh at Islamabad .
This is much poor show using KPK government

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Learn to respect the constitution.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

I appreciate PTI supporters’ passion for their leader and his movement (no one will believe but Imran used to be my leader as well and I still care abt him)…but i ask PTI insafians that if imran moves into the red zone tomorrow with his supporters, is it a fair game?

democracy allows you to protest but within certain parameters. There are always certain constitutional and safety parameters that define limits of those protests both psychically and verbally. Tell me one country where you can do whatever you want to on the name of democracy? in washington DC you are never allowed to come too close to white house.

Pakistani Govt said from day 1 of this march that you can protest anywhere in islamabad (and they did not interfere the dharna of both PAT and PTI) but we will not let you in the red zone as we have diplomatic base in there and any incidence will put a black spot on pakistan’s face. If diplomats starts to leave pakistan it will be so embarrassing. Red Zone is protected by military right now so it is heavily guarded.

Despite knowing all this, Imran announces to march into the red zone…why? and PTIans still want us to believe that he is not creating a violent scene? If we have dead bodies tomorrow how come imran is not responsible for them? he is deliberating challenging and creating a tough situation… khuda kay layee be balanced in your thinking.

and what is the end of this march? what if imran wants to march into the PM house ? what if he wants to march into the parliament?

and more importantly what if in near future molana fazal rehman brings 20K people into Islamabad under imran khan govt and insists to march into the red zone…at that point all of you will justify imran khan govt to protect the red zone against fazul rehman at any cost but when PMLN govt will do it you get upset.

khuda kay wastay, insafians insaf say kam lo… rab da wasta hai tanu

This is also Red Zone in 2007. Musharaf did not threat anyone with bullet or house arrest Imran Khan. ‪#‎AzadiMarchPTI‬](Facebook)
