If he goes to karachi for few days then there will be no dharna to return to. Either people will leave as the crowd puller isnt there or police will dandafy the rest.

Actually yes, Imran Khan is much better than most of the so-called public servants in elected offices in terms of his own character thus far, and corruption-free background thus far. That in itself is a very decent badge of honor that I would vote for, barring other things that PTI still needs to work on. As long as he expects the same standards from others in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, then he will continue to soar. And I do not think this is a dead end yet for either Imran Khan or PTI. Both have a lot going for them.
It takes a real brand of bias to ignore the fact that MNAs and MPAs from various parties wouldn't be found coming to assemblies, let alone participate but the moment they sense danger to a system that lets them thrive without moving a muscle, suddenly everyone's concerned. It's really very transparent if anyone looks from a point of neutrality. Who will I believe speaking in Parliament, known convicts who are only able to even do politics again because of a deal that they benefitted from or a person who gained nothing from the backdoor deals from 2001 onwards.
I'll take a chance with the unproven but one with potential, rather than the proven freeloaders whose purpose in life is to obtain an elected office without anything to show for it.
PS: Sister Hareem, none of this is directed at you. I'm just speaking my mind and quoting what you said to voice my opinion on the character of Imran Khan himself. The rest is just what I felt like expressing.

My Nephew 16 Yrs old (along with 3 friend) was arrested by Punjab Police near Airport (20 KM away from Dharna) on Saturday night..Driver was beaten and his mobile also snatched by Police party..After visiting every police station of city and invloving Army officials /American Embassy he was found in Civil Lines PS.Despite all efforts Police refused to release him..On therat of legal action He was presented before Magistrate and when Magistrate asked for notfication of 144.It was not available with Police so he was released..WOW democracy..Under what rules 15,16 years old kids kept in Police station.SSP said he has CM Punjab order to arrest 300 persons per Police station and send them to Jail .WOW

I may be British born and live in the UK but Pakistan was the homeland of my parents, and their parents before them. My ancestors fought for Pakistan.
My mother and father tell me stories of how Pakistan was made how they endured what they did, before finally coming to Britain for a better quality of life.
I grew up with the ‘Bhutto’ regime.. I remember the anguish my mum went through when he was trialled and hung. I remember a family holiday to Pakistan and ‘Zia’ dying in a helicopter crash. I was there in Pakistan. The country came to a standstill.. I was part of that, I experienced that…I can tell my children that story…
Looking back nothing much has changed, we might have metro buses and highways and nice buildings. Something nice to look at…But people continue to struggle, basic needs are not met. People struggle to put a meal in their mouths.. Children roam the streets, or sit in a makeshift school on the street. If you are ill unless you pay, you don’t get treatment. What happened to humanity? What happened to ‘basic needs’ that EVERY human has a right to.. Pakistani or not.
Today I see Imran Khan, the cricketer I grew up watching (having 5 elder brothers) Cricketer turned politician.. Why I believe in Khan? I believe because I HAVE seen. I have HEARD and I can WITNESS that Khan Sb has no ulterior motives, he has everything to lose and nothing to gain. Why? Why would he want to take the weight of a nation on his shoulders, a nation that despite having so much to offer, have not been allowed to transpire because of corrupt politicians. Imran needs your support and your dedication and a chance to prove that he CAN and WILL bring change… If you didn’t believe in Imran Khan you wouldn’t be there now. If Imran Khan didn’t recognize 'your 'needs he would be sitting in the comfort of his home and watching people struggle, but no he has a heart he has a mission and YOU my dear family and friends, ARE that mission…
