I do not know ... but whatever their POV, if last election was massively rigged, then re-election should be there, all over Pakistan, including Karachi.
If MQM says (and many MQM supporters believe) that MQM wins election fair and square, then there should be no problem for MQM, but if they are also product of rigging, then they do not deserve to sit in parliament.
Why is not MQM protesting against PMLN?

Police sub-inspector resigns, joins PTI sit-in
ISLAMABAD: A police sub-inspector has resigned from his job and joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) sit-in that continues for a month in the federal capital.
Yasir, who arrived at protest sit-in in his police uniform, was taken on shoulders by jubilant PTI supporters amid anti-government slogans.
On the occasion, the police official said that he has resigned from his post to join Imran Khan’s protest demonstration

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Executive Director PIMS Hospital Dr. Javed Akram has rejected Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan’s allegations. He has said that if someone proves that there were more than 3 dead bodies in PIMS Hospital that he would resign.
Responding to Imran Khan’s allegations, Dr. Javed Akram said that there is no dead body present in the hospital. He said that maligning institutions is a wrong precedent and should be stopped. He said that politicians should keep politics between them and leaders of the protests should not malign institutions.

Two important things in this news. One is ‘pre-promised support to Javed Hashmi from PPP/PMLN if he ditches IK’, second ‘SMQ`s son to compete against Javed Hashmi’.
One 1st one, I am not surprised then that he accused IK/PTI to have backing of army/intelligence.
On 2nd one, PTI proved that they don’t want to achieve everything they stand for. They want selective reforms, they push some good agenda but then mix some dirt into the same. The day PTI started taking in aira ghaira nathoo khaira I had agreed with other PTI opponents that it is becoming just another party, and the proof is becoming clearer, unfortunately
