Re: Live Updates of Azadi March
PTI and PAT workers attacking police and beating them … is it justified?
It is really funny when people on TV talk shows and forums criticise ‘PTI and PAT’ that they are attacking and beating police, then showing their ignorance by saying out of context that it could not happen in UK, Canada and other western countries. While saying, they ignore the role of police, judges and government in Pakistan.
We should know that Pakistani police is getting hated, disrespected, beaten and it is possible that soon may even get attacked with firearms losing lives ... not because anyone is doing anything wrong, but because these police are taking laws in their own hands, abusing and persecuting people on behalf of Thug Nawaz and his party.
Same used to happen in UK when police and judges were like Pakistani police and judges, used to convict and persecute citizens for the rulers. In those days same used to happen in UK too, when people had no respect for Government, police or judges … rather used to attack and kill them (police, judges, bureaucrats, government officials, etc) whenever they had opportunity, and even used to loot state wealth.
One should read the history of UK few hundred years ago … days when those who used to fight for people against state were considered as hero (a character of that time is known as Robin Hood). Such situation stayed until time when state became voice and inspiration of people, all got equal and protected rights, police became guardian of people and their rights, laws were made to give human and political rights to people that judges followed, punishing even those wrongdoers who were rulers … and regular court verdicts started coming where judges were not differentiating between ruled and rulers.
Same happened in USA and other places … actually same happens in any society where those in power abuse and persecute citizen using state organs (including judges and police).
Seeing all this, one should not be surprised if political parties and people in Pakistan occasionally stand up for their rights and even resort to fighting state organs (police, bureaucrats, etc) and government officials who try to supress them and oppose their justified demands.
