Once again army has shown great and uncharacteristic restrain. It's unbelievable yet so refreshing at the same time.
It has to be said, Noon League made the biggest mistake of their lives by assuming army is obviously behind all this and eager to topple their government. On the contrary, Army is currently doing everything opposite of what people are predicting. However, PTI on one side, the junk group anchors and reporters who think they can start another sly anti army campaign under the pretext of democracy are mistaken. Nawaz League and their supporters may not realise this, but these paid agents are creating a whole new parallel, proxy conflict between army and Sharif family that may still be there and running even if these protests reach their conclusion.
I liked how Imran started his speech with a perfectly and ever so carefully worded sentence that "we met the army chief because he called to say that the government *had asked him to *mediate with us". He totally set the record straight. He's definitely a lot smarter than his critics give him credit for.
