Re: Live Updates of Azadi March
As far a i can gauge the situation after this dharna, Pti has lost a lot of public support. Many followers have gone back to PMLN. People are facing hardships in getting their food supplies and are laying the blame squarely on Pti. PMLN and PPP are the main beneficiaries. There is a real possibility that Pti may become Pakistans AAP after the end of this fiasco. If Imran khan had thought about it even in India the dharna and confrontational politics of aap resulted in their eviction from the political scene in that country. Governments inefficiencies hiding behind PTIs dharna.
Brother, you may not agree but my feeling is that, PTI will come out much stronger from this dharna regardless of the result, and the party that would lose most is PMLN, but PPP, ANP and JUI would lose a lot too.
After this dharna and all the speeches and commitment of the party workers/supporters, even those who ever thought that election in Pakistan has some element of fairness would start doubting any Pakistan election results unless major election reform is done and they would give credit of all election reforms that could stop rigging to PTI and PAT.
I believe next election would be much fairer and rigging would be much difficult ... and that also going to hit PMLN most, then PPP ... as both holding control on federal government acquired millions of forged ID cards they use to rig elections. It would be difficult for Gundas to rig election too, as I believe army would be seeing that no Gunda-gardi happens during election.
Second thing that got exposed (what educated knew anyhow) in this dharna is that PMLN and PPP were using election as business to enrich themselves, loot, plunder, exploit, make fool, and abuse the masses.
This dharna would also bring out voters who never voted any party to vote PTI, as they would see PTI as party that is committed, educated, truthful, not corrupt, and has feeling for people and country. Voters who are dejected with Pakistan system (saying that ... kuch nahi ho sakta) would look at PTI vehicle for change towards good.
Gullu Butt type gunda gardi ... killing at TUQ residence on 17 June and not letting the victims register FIR ... would go against PMLN strongly ... and sticking with PM seat when all is claiming that last election was rigged and PTI is asking for resignation on ground that since last election was rigged, it should be declared defunct, would also go against PMLN and all who are supporting stand of PMLN.
I think very few people must be blaming PTI for all what is happening, rather most must be blaming Nawaz Shareef, because for many, one element of dharna is because government is not letting FIR lodged, and most Pakistanis must be seeing that as misuse of power. Shahbaz claim that he would resign if court would take his name as suspect did not resigned even when court named him as suspect (shows hoe blatant liar he is, as good as his elder brother), would make people believe that Shhabaz is culprit but so confident that his name would not come, because he was relying on influencing the court findings.
Other thing most people must be thinking is that ... demand of PTI is not wrong and if Nawaz is PM because of free and fair election then he should have resigned to bring country out of all this trouble, as by resigning from post of PM ... Nawaz loses nothing. If Nawaz thinks last election was not rigged and he is so popular that he got 15 million votes compared to Imran's 8 million, then obviously he would win re-election and in process not only going to get extra one year, but would bring Pakistan out of present turmoil. Since he is not doing that, resigning from PM post, than as time would pass, people would start hating Nawaz and would be certain that PMLN has formed government because lest election was massively rigged, and that the reason of turmoil is Nawaz alone.
I also feel amazed when PMLN, PPP, JUI and ANP members come on TV saying that TUQ has no stake in the system ... but these thugs do not realize that they themselves have no stake in the system, as stake is of the voters, whose life and future depends on the system and whom they elect. These thugs are just representing voters, and should work for the voters, not for themselves to say that that are the stake holders. TUQ and all with him are voters, so they have stake in the system.
Anyhow, these thugs claim that they are stake holders and those who are not contesting election are not stake holders, is because, they think election happens for them and to safeguard their interest ... so they can loot, plunder, and abuse the country as they like. Whereas, voters are meaningless entities, footing steps for these thugs to get into power, that is all.
So, wait for any future free and fair election, that I believe could be happening within next 6 months ... InshaAllah.
