They have no answer to why families of over 100 victims (which included 17 dead) weren’t allowed to file an FIR, a bloody FIR, against the culprits! But let’s use parliament to gossip about someone’s pet and issue a fatwa! I’m truly shocked! You wouldn’t expect such mindlessly wayward chatter from grannies of this day and age. But take that as another reason to highlight how backward and behind the time these Nawaz Leaguers are. How can these politicians call themselves (or try to sell themselves) as people’s representatives when their politics don’t even represent the people? I’m disgusted. Despite the widespread calamity brought by the floods, water management was not the main issue of the session!

How many more sessions do they need to scream and shout that ‘our version of democracy is great’, when will they actually think about making that democracy deliver? How many joint parliament session we need to hear the same lame defence over and over again?
